"She told me to keep reading- that books were mirrors, reflective in sometimes unpredictable ways."
- I Know This Much is True By: Wally Lamb
I have a habit of reading books and if a certain sentence, phrase, or even a paragraph stands out to me I will immediately write it down. Latter on I transfer all of the quotes I have extracted from my books and re-write them into my own book..... my book of quotes. No one suggested this to me. One day I was reading a book and a sentence shot out at me. This sentence was so profound to me that I ended up reading it again and again. After about the third time of reading this profound sentence I decided to write it down so I wouldn't forget, which ultimately lead to my book of quotes. To this day I pull quotes out of all of my books, vary rarely do I read an entire book without coming across some kind of quote. These quotes I have come to accumulate have come in vary handy. While I may be talking to a friend about stress in their life my mind will pick out a quote and use it to assist my friend, kind of like a proverb. The only reason I can pull these quotes out of books and apply them to real life scenarios is because...like the above quote says....books are mirrors that reflect in sometimes unpredictable ways. There are more to books than just a story, or a thing of entertainment books are a way of learning, growing, and functioning with the world around us. Who knows you could even be surprised like me when sometimes I pick up a book and don't really look what it's about I just read it.....then partway through it I realize that this book I just happened to pick up has somehow touched a struggle I am currently having. Books are amazing.....do not think that because it is a book that it would make you nerdy to read or contemplate.....books are the legacy and history of the human race and should be cherished, loved, and contemplated on. Pick up a book sometime and you may be surprised at the epiphanies you encounter.

Spaghetti Sauce
I try to keep up on my canned foods. I stock up on them when I have the money. That way when I actually need something to eat and am broke I can crack into the canned foods. I'm also slightly paranoid about food storage. Which by the way even with my slight paranoia I still don't do very good :) That's not the point though....my point is Spaghetti Sauce. I know I've found myself without my beloved can of Hunts Spaghetti Sauce and have to make my own. Sometimes I think it's even better than canned.
Quick and Easy Homemade Spaghetti Sauce
Check it out I use this recipe all the time, heck I wrote it! It's good though try it....It's all in the seasonings.

something you obtain.
Happiness is something you do.
It is a course of action."

Can Flies Really Hatch in Humans?
Gross I know right? Think about it though....we're nice warm and moist beings perfect for incubation. Scary thought but flies truly can hatch in humans. It's strange to think about I know and your probably visualizing actual flies escaping from the human body. To my knowledge it doesn't progress that far. The scary part is the creature before it morphs into a fly......the Maggot!!! Sick disgusting maggots growing inside of a human being. Eating our muscle, tissue, and body while we continue on our daily excursions. It's true and can happen if you're not careful. Find out some ways to prevent fly / maggot infestation and true stories about people who have been infected with maggots by clicking this link:

Quote of The Day: "Patience is a decision."
"Patience is a decision."
-When the Soul Mends By: Cindy Woodsmall
There is so much truth to this statement, but do we really want to admit it? I know I don't. When I get frustrated with someone I like to blame them for that frustration. Yet there have been times that I remember taking a few breaths and deciding to stay calm and be patient. It is a conscious decision whether we want to admit it or not.
Even though we get to choose whether or not we want to be patient doesn't mean that it's easy. By no means at all is anyone going to be able to stay patient forever. It's part of our faults as humans. Why do you think that so many people make the comment you're trying my patience? It's because we are consciously trying to contain our frustration while outwardly projecting our boundary. In this statement your saying I've made the decision to be patient with you for this long, drop it and we'll be okay.
These are just my thoughts. Don't think that I am trying to project anything other than what thoughts this quote stirs in my mind. I by no means at all have conquered this feat. In all truth I remember vividly a time during an argument recently that I half-consciously, half-subconsciously choose to fight. I recall standing there and feeling the blank/astounded look on my face and thinking I could let this go and then thinking No! F@%* that I'm not going to stand here and take that. Yeah I still don't know if it was the right decision, but still it was strange. I didn't actually realize I had previously thought about staying mad until later when I recalled the moment. In that situation I failed to decide to choose patience...but maybe I'll keep trying. Oh so I guess that means Patience isn't a virtue.

Interesting facts about Urine
Ok so I was watching Weeds on Netflix and came upon an interesting subject....Urine!!! I know it sounds so disgusting but really it's not. People have been using urine for all sorts of things since 79AD! Crazy I know but even way back then the people of Pompeii Italy were using urine as a laundry detergent because it got their grease stains out. I found out so much information on urine it's crazy.

Did you know that drinking your own urine could be beneficial to your health???
